Terms and conditions

These terms explain how website information, quotations and agreed chimney services are handled.

Last updated: 14 August 2026

1. Business details

“We”, “us” and “our” refer to Chimney Repair Willesden London, Strode Rd, London NW10 2NH. Website enquiries can be submitted through the contact form. The specific trader identity, scope, price and payment details applicable to work will be stated in the written quotation or contract.

2. Website information

Website content gives general information about chimney and brickwork services. It is not a structural survey, flue inspection, planning opinion or diagnosis of a particular property. Recommendations depend on inspection, access and the conditions found.

3. Enquiries and quotations

Sending an enquiry does not create a contract. A quotation remains subject to the stated validity period, assumptions, exclusions and access arrangements. A contract begins only when the written quotation is accepted in the manner specified and any agreed deposit is received.

4. Scope and hidden conditions

The agreed scope is limited to work described in writing. Chimneys can contain concealed defects that are not visible before safe access or dismantling. If additional work is recommended, we will explain the evidence, price and likely effect on timing. No material variation will proceed without customer agreement, except temporary action reasonably necessary to make an immediate safety risk secure.

5. Access and customer responsibilities

The customer must provide safe and reasonable access to the property, identify known hazards, secure necessary permissions and confirm authority to instruct work. Parking, scaffold licences, neighbouring access and party-wall matters must be addressed where applicable. Pets, vehicles and personal items should be kept clear of the working area.

6. Dates, weather and delays

Start and completion dates are estimates unless expressly agreed as fixed. Roof-level work may be delayed by unsafe weather, access problems, material availability, hidden defects or events beyond reasonable control. We will communicate material delays and rearrange work as soon as reasonably practical.

7. Price and payment

The quotation states the price, VAT position where applicable, deposit, stage payments and due dates. Additional work requires agreement. A customer is not required to pay hidden or unapproved charges. We may pause work where an undisputed payment is overdue after reasonable notice.

8. Consumer cancellation rights

Consumers may have a statutory 14-day cancellation right for contracts agreed at a distance or away from business premises. If you expressly request work to begin during that period, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for work completed before cancellation. If the service is fully performed during the cancellation period after the required express request and acknowledgement, the statutory right may end. Your written contract will explain any right that applies.

9. Standard of service and statutory rights

Services will be performed with reasonable care and skill. Materials will be as described and suitable for their stated purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable law.

10. Damage and making good

We take reasonable care of the property and working area. The quotation should identify protection, waste removal and making good included. Pre-existing defects, fragile materials and unavoidable disturbance required for agreed access should be recorded before work where practical.

11. Photographs

Photographs may be taken to assess, quote, document safety and evidence completed work. Customer-identifying project images will not be used publicly without an appropriate basis and any necessary permission.

12. Complaints

Please follow our complaints procedure. Raising a complaint does not affect statutory rights.

13. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Consumers retain any mandatory right to bring proceedings in another competent UK court where applicable.
